The Brandix Management Trainee Programme has been well-structured to provide us the theoretical and practical knowledge of the Apparel industry. The programme taught me how to work with all levels of employees from the ground level to top Management. I am looking forward to contributing my best towards Brandix while also enhancing my skills along the way.

Joining the Brandix Group Management Trainee Programme in 2018 laid a firm foundation to build my corporate career. Shifting from an academic career to the corporate world as a fresher, this fast-tracked, yet objectively designed programme facilitated a splendid learning experience that covered the nitty-gritties of the Apparel industry and Manufacturing Management, while enabling focused learning in my field of specialization through Projects.

Comprising of classroom based lectures, factory visits, sewing experiences, management lessons, challenging exams, open discussions with Senior Leadership teams, working experiences with diverse teams in SBUs, personal and leadership development sessions, CSR projects, corporate trips, get-togethers and many more, the 18 months spent with the G15 Team has marked a wonderful chapter in my life that would forever be cherished. It is indeed with great love and respect that I thank everyone who assisted and blessed our journey of G15!

Being selected to the Brandix Group Management Trainee (GMT) Programme is one of the most important achievements of my life as it gave me new opportunities to learn, grow and evolve into a better professional.

Through a properly planned series of steps, the GMT Programme provided an informative training on different aspects of the Apparel industry before allocating us to our respective functions. During the functional stints, we were assigned different projects and objectives to be achieved within a defined timeline. This process helped improve our problem-solving skills, communication skills, ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, and develop many other attributes as well.

Gaining first-hand experience in a professional environment, receiving wide exposure covering the entire Brandix Group within and beyond Sri Lanka, and being mentored by members of the company’s Senior Management are specialties of the Brandix GMT Programme, which in my opinion, is one of the best in the country.

It was a privilege to be selected for the Brandix GMT Programme because it was a life-changing experience! The programme is well-structured for us to gain theoretical and practical knowledge in Textile Technology – this is essential as most of us are new to the industry. After the initial training at the Brandix College of Clothing Technology, I was assigned to an SBU for a new project. Getting involved in this project work not only gave me good exposure into Project Management but exposed me to new Textile Technology. I hope to contribute my best to Brandix while improving myself along the way to achieve success.

Working at Brandix has given me the opportunity to work with a group of people who are from different backgrounds and have different characteristics. This, I believe, enables me to learn how to interact with people with diverse backgrounds - within the corporate environment as well as outside.

I enjoy my job tasks. Each new day presents me a fresh opportunity and different circumstances which, in turn, means more insight into the business. I have good mentors and the other members of my team are very supportive when it comes to helping me with my work despite having hectic work schedules themselves.

As Management Trainees, we learnt so much about the industry. We got to experience the company, meet new people, and most of all, become part of a great family. Brandix taught me to be innovative, think more productively, and embrace the sincerity and appreciation of other Associates. The GMT Programme is a great step-up to a successful career!

The Brandix GMT Programme is well-organised and refines our entry into the professional world, teaching us different roles and important skills that ultimately empower us to become better leaders. The exposure we received from this programme is extensive and highly valuable. I am really glad to be a part of this wonderful group.

I get a huge amount of support as well as guidance from my supervisors in the functional team that I have had the opportunity of being placed in. Further, we are empowered and supported in our roles by the mentors the company has connected us with. I have also been able to gain immense knowledge and insight into the business as a result of working with SBUs and multiple fabric suppliers, as well as through interactions with the company’s Senior Management.

Being a Marketing GMT, I was mainly involved with the development merchandising process which is the core function of the Marketing department that manages the front-end process of serving our global apparel customers directly. This provided me the platform to gain exposure to the Supply Chain function as well.

The exposure I received from the Brandix GMT Programme was incredible and challenging at the same time. I got the chance to work with core functions of the business, giving me great exposure to start thinking as a Manager would. It was a truly unique experience for me to have been a Management Trainee at Brandix.
