The Brandix Corporate Campus (BCC), a subsidiary of Brandix Lanka Limited, has been offering pioneering clothing technology courses since 1996, catering to school leavers who are aspiring to embark on a clothing career as well as those already in the clothing industry who wish to enhance their skill sets.
The campus’s training activities are divided into two major areas - industry-based training for newcomers, and industry-oriented training for industry personnel. The Campus offers specialised technical courses ranging from fabric technology to merchandising, advanced pattern making, production management to sewing machinery skills etc.
The Brandix Corporate Campus also runs an Advanced Diploma in Fashion, Apparel & Textiles. Adding to its growing list of pioneering clothing technology courses offered to those interested in becoming professionals in the apparel industry, this new Advanced Diploma has been positioned to become the gateway for budding and dynamic individuals who seeks to build a career in the booming apparel industry of Sri Lanka and the world. The programme itself has been created by the most proficient members in the industry who have gained exposure to the best innovative and global practices. This team of professionals will use their expertise to ensure that the programme keeps up with new industry developments.
The Brandix Corporate Campus also runs two part-time diploma programmes of one year duration for industry personnel. One of the diplomas is designed for Executives and includes a focus on management and technological subjects. The other is for front line middle managers in the industry, which attempts to provide technical insight that would make tangible differences in the production floor.
The Campus’s teaching methods immerse students in the theoretical and practical aspects of this fascinating craft. The first two years of the degree course, for example, incorporate IT, Textile Technology and Clothing Technology while the final year covers Management subjects. Further, final year students have the opportunity to work while learning.
The Campus’s modern training equipment and laboratories are fully equipped with the latest technology. Its machinery and equipment are brand-new and are state-of-the-art. The lab carries out testing for brands such as Marks & Spencer, PVH, Limited brand, Amazon, Tommy John and GAP.
The collective qualifications of the Campus academic staff include six PhDs, four Masters and 10 Bachelors Degree holders.
