  • Brandix Eco Centre in Seeduwa was ceremonially inaugurated in April.
  • Brandix Casualwear plant in Seeduwa achieved a global first in August receiving the Platinum Rating under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, US Green Building Council (USGBC).
  • Commencement of Operations in BIAC (Brandix India Apparel City)
2009
  • Textured Jersey launched the in-region fleece programme for Victoria's Secret PINK.
  • Commendation by the United Nations Global Compact as an example of good CSR practice and compliance with the principles of the UNGC.
  • The LEED Gold rating for New Construction by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) awarded to the Brandix Activewear Centre in Ratmalana - the first commercial building in Sri Lanka to receive this certification.
  • The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce recognised Brandix among Top 10 Best Corporate Citizens.
2010
  • Brandix Activewear transformed to Brandix Essentials reflecting shift in product focus, specialization and future business direction.
  • Brandix India Apparel City formally inaugurated in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
  • Ashroff Omar - CEO, Brandix addressed prestigious Centenary World Conference, The Textile Institute, Manchester, UK.
2011
  • Comfortwear (Pvt) Ltd., initially established as a JV partnership, becomes a fully-owned subsidiary of Brandix. The newly created cluster will operate under the name Brandix Lingerie.
  • The Brandix Eco Centre, Seeduwa becomes the first apparel manufacturer in the world, and only the third manufacturing entity worldwide across all sectors of industry to be ISO 50001:2011 certified.
  • Commencement of Operations in Bangladesh
2012
  • Brandix becomes first private company in Sri Lanka to release a Sustainability Report on par with global standards.
  • Inauguration of Brandix i3.
2013
  • Priyan Fernando succeeds Deshamanya Ken Balendra as Chairman of Brandix upon the latter's retirement after 10 years at the helm.
  • Accenture signs agreement with Brandix to provide BPO services for human resources, finance and accounting and procurement from Sri Lanka.
2014
  • Becomes the first corporate entity to be recognised as Sri Lanka's Organisation Committed to Green for 2013 by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL).
  • Brandix i3 opens new 'Innovation Center' in Rochester, Minnesota, USA., built on the premise of fostering creativity and encouraging innovation. This is the first office in the US for Brandix i3.
  • Leads apparel industry in tribute to Martin Trust, the father of Sri Lanka's emergence as an apparel manufacturer of global significance, with a 238-page coffee table book titled Built on Trust.
2015
  • Textured Jersey Lanka PLC acquires 100% ownership of Quenby Lanka Prints (Pvt) Ltd to support its journey in becoming one of the leading Fabric Mills in South Asia.
  • Textured Jersey Lanka PLC acquires 100% ownership of Ocean India (Private) Limited, reinforcing its footprint as one of the leading Textile Mills in South Asia.
2016
  • Dedicates Brandix headquarters to Ken Balendra.
2017
  • Brandix i3 relaunched as Fortude.
  • BrandM is formed, a JV with Grupo M (Dominican Republic).
2018
  • Brandix Essentials Batticaloa rated highest LEED Platinum Facility in Sri Lanka and second highest in the world.
  • BCCE launched as a new facility to enhance employee training in collaboration with Brandix and CINEC.
  • Teejay India launches world-class Administration office.
  • MoU signed by Vocational Training Authority with Brandix.
  • MoU signed by Faculty of Management of the University of Peradeniya with Brandix.
2019
  • Brandix Essentials Batticaloa rated as the world’s first manufacturing facility to achieve ‘Net Zero Carbon’ status.
